August already. Here’s the latest Scatterbox Carnival of Image & Influence, a blog digest of news and insights toward understanding, managing and surviving the influence economy. Submit a post or link using the carnival submission form, or send it to scatterbox(@)stevensilvers.com.
Thanks to everyone for your ideas and good work. And a salute to fellow Army vet Jack Yoest at Reasoned Audacity for his kind compliments. Here’s the latest Carnival, Scatterbox, One Ea. edition:
THIS WEEK’S BEST KICK-IN-THE-BLOG | Murdoch, WSJ and the absence of PR opinion and insight by Michael Tangeman over at media mindshare. Mike noted that “it would appear that many other renowned blogging minds of public relations are too busy with tips, tech toys and visions of the social media future to simply pause for a moment, consider the significance of this landmark deal for the media landscape on which their livelihood presumably depends, and peck out at least one cogent reflection in even the most minimal of blog posts.” (Ah, for the record, I’ve been all drugged up from major surgery two weeks ago and pretty much slept through everything important until this morning. Is that same guy still in the White House?)
Whatever you were or weren’t doing, read Mike’s post and the comments that follow. It’s an interesting snapshot from inside the Fellowship of Fine Flackery (most of whom don’t submit to the Carnival of Image & Influence, by the way).
